Purpose of the Test

What the Test Detects

The MRI Shoulder with contrast produces detailed images of the shoulder joint, including bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.The contrast agent is injected into a vein before the scan to help enhance the visibility of certain structures within the shoulder joint.

Preparation for the Test

Patients should inform their healthcare provider if they have any allergies, kidney problems or are pregnant before the MRI.Patients should remove any metal or jewelry from the area being scanned.Patients may be asked to wear a gown during the procedure.
