When this test is required

What the Test Detects

This test produces an image of the bones in the thoracic spine, which includes the 12 vertebrae between the neck and the lower back. It can help identify bone fractures, bone spurs, scoliosis, and other spinal deformities.

Preparation for the Test

No specific preparation is required for this test, but you will need to remove any jewelry or metal objects from your body before the X-ray. You may also need to wear a hospital gown.
